Nemesis Story
The Concept -
After a day of fun in a friend’s off-road buggy, the founder of Radical Vehicle Design (RVD) decided he wanted to buy a recreational vehicle.
"I wanted something that would be sporty on-road, fun off-road and could also be used for everyday uses such as going to the beach, camping, scuba diving or going to the store.
I looked at a lot of different imported buggies but everything such poor quailty. I certainly didn’t want to spend tens of thousands on a side by side or ATV that would just sit in the garage for 350 days of the year because I couldn’t use it on the roads.
I wanted the best of a 4x4, a UTV and a race car, all rolled into one vehilce, but I simply couldn’t find anything that was going to be fun, fast, exciting and look great. So as a former racing driver, race car builder and engineer, I decided to design the very vehicle I was looking for.
Unique Design -
The RVD team wanted to challenge the way vehicles are designed and manufactured. We use the latest design and manufacturing techniques as well as new composite materials to create a truly unique chassis design that is lightweight, strong, and safe. We wanted to create something that is both fun and exciting to drive with excellent handling and with an engine and transmission system that could be easily serviced anywhere in the USA.
A unique three part chassis design is comprised of a central safe cell and roll cage with front and rear bolt-on chassis which allows the vehicle to be set up for different engine and transmission configurations. If the vehicle is damaged, the entire front or rear chassis can be completely replaced.
The GM Ecotec 2.4L turbo engine has been choosen for its reliable, dependable and serviceabiltly. The engine can drive either a manual, automatic or sequential transmission. We also incorporated the option of both rear and four wheel drive.
Adjustable suspension, high performance brakes, hydraulic hand brake, racing bucket seats and 6 point racing harnesses are all part of the vehicle's design.
The Latest Tech -
The Nemesis embraces the latest technology and is fitted with a 10 inch tablet PC that’s connected to the Nemesis engine systems, built-in HD camera and the vehicles own secure Wi-Fi 4G cellular network.
Record your off-road adventures and upload to YouTube. Post your awesome pictures directly to Facebook & Instagram or Tweet your lap time from the track, easily and seamlessly from the Nemesis built-in 10” PC and Wi-Fi network.
The Nemesis is also fitted with a proprietary power distribution and management system which can be controlled and programmed from the Nemesis tablet PC.
Nemesis Vehicle App (NVA) displays:
• Engine parameters such as Tacho, Water Temp, Oil Pressure, Battery etc.
• Turbo Boost and G-load display.
• Vehicle yaw & roll angles displayed when on extreme off-road terrain.
• GPS 0 to 60 timer and lap timer.
• Mileage and trip monitoring including navigation.
• Manage the Nemesis electrical systems.
• Other apps including Goggle Maps, Facebook, Instagram & Twitter etc.
